THE KITTY IS 35!

I headed out to the Royal-T Cafe for brunch earlier today with my parents and was pleasantly surprised by the Hello Kitty exhibit! The Royal-T Cafe is already a very impressive location (skylights, open modern gallery, great restaurant + a PORTA-PARTY!). VAMPD Magazine and I were VERY lucky to have had an opportunity to have our launch gallery there (Remember? Click here to see images from the VAMPD Issue #2 Launch Party). Now imagine Hello Kitty threw up paintings, jackets, memorabilia, figurines & little red bows EVERYWHERE! It’s definitely a must see. To find out more information about this event, click here. LOS ANGELES FASHION WEEK

“In collaboration with The Cao Institute, A Paul Mitchell School, VAMPD’s own Beauty Director, Leibi Carias was KEY Makeup artist for Downtown LA’s Fashion week, hosted at the MOCA this year. In less than a month, she put together a wonderful team of makeup artists to cover the 3 days of runway shows of designers such as Louis Verdad, Elizabeth Mason Couture, Oliver Tolentino, The Battalion, MODE Isreal, Eduardo Lucero, Alakazia, Jerell Scott and Skingraft.”

Working the show with Leibi Carias served as a huge reminder to why I’m in the industry to begin with.

ANGUS M SALON OPENING

Got out of my batcave tonight and headed out the opening of the Angus M salon in Beverly Hills tonight. Ice fountain Martini’s, Shrimp cocktails and red velvet cupcakes? YES PLEASE! & forget a red carpet… It was ORANGE! Such a great time with my glam squad: Leibi Carias, Sienree Du, Daniel Chinchilla, Daven Mayeda and VAMPD Magazine’s editor, Tawny Valencia.

SARAH SILVER FOR VOGUE

One of my absolute favorite photographers is Sarah Silver. Her beauty and fashion work inspire me to the fullest. She sets the bar for me as a female photographer in this industry today. Don’t get my wrong, Annie Leibovitz is quite the artist, but Sarah’s work is where I want my work to be in the next 5 years. Her selection of talent is astounding! Everyone of her models is absolutely perfect. I wonder if she works consistently with the same crew and glam squad? Check out her editorial in Vogue’s Oct Issue:

thanks to VAMPD, i came across andres & alejandro of beautiful fül. it’s a line of high-end men’s clothing created right here in los angeles. gorgeous pieces and textures. i just finished creating beautiful fül’s new official website:
